From The Artist
I worked for a while as an illustrator, a stringer for a few magazines, have had gallery shows and won awards but this is the only mention I will make of them because it is not what others think of my work, it is what you think of my work.
It is quite simple really, you either like what I present to you here or not. If my work doesn't suit your fancy, no big deal. My words and what I say about past achievements should have no bearing on what you take away from my art. One is to be impressed by the work of the Artist, not by who else is impressed by the work!
I'm currently specializing in Portraiture and that will be the main focus of this site. To capture not just an image but also to show the character of the person in the image, to make the Portrait a collaboration between myself and the subject is not a style many people are used to, challenging to all involved but also very satisfying. The picture cannot be made without the subject and the subject is also an Artist, an Artist of their own life and that is what I strive to show.
